My Day As A Whole - A Secret Poem (No 23)

 

This is my day as a whole
A day of surprise, routine was stole
I opened my door to see a view
Which left my vision a little askew.

 

One foot automatically out of the door,
Before I had chance to look at the floor.

My stride imprinted in a foot of snow
My tights now soaked; snow freezing my toe.

 

Had I just opened a new porthole?
This sensations confusing, anguish to console.;

What day was it? What time are we? Have I gone wrong? This isn’t me.
I like routine, I like control. Why is my garden now the North Pole.

 

I stepped back in and shut the door; as if this will change a thing at at all.
The comfort of the house so warm, such contrast to my outside lawn.

I peeked again to double check. Yes its snow – what the heck!
Thick and fluffy I usually love, but today of all days… my curse seeks above.

 

I quickly ran upstairs to change, to ....
